Blues Hog
2 lbs. Chicken Wings
1/2 cup Blues Hog Pork Marinade Mix
2 cups Water
2 cups Blues Hog Tennessee Red BBQ Sauce
3/4 cup Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
Blues Hog Sweet & Savory Seasoning
2 cups Chicken Broth
1 tbsp. Sesame Seeds
3 Green Onions, sliced
Prepare your chicken wings, separating the drums from the flats. Place wings in a sealable container (i.e. a zip lock bag or food storage container).
The next day, remove the wings from the marinade. Dry and season generously with Blues Hog Sweet & Savory, then smoke at 275°F for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours.
Next, remove the wings from the smoker and place in a foil pan with chicken broth. Increase smoker temp to 375°F, cover pan with foil, and transfer back to the smoker to braise until tender. This should take about 2 hours.
As the wings cook, combine Tennessee Red BBQ Sauce, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil in a small pot on the stove. Bring to a boil and let simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
Remove wings from the broth and coat with the Tennessee Red & teriyaki sauce mixture. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onion slices.
