Ingredients
-
4 Chicken Breast
-
1 tbsp. Lemon Zest
-
6 Slices swiss
-
4 slices sliced Ham (We choose Marble Ridge Farms!)
-
16 asparagus spears
-
2 tbsp. High Flyin’ Chicken
-
½ cup Blues Hog Honey Mustard
-
½ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
For the sauce:
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400℉.
Pat the chicken dry. Carefully cut a pocket through the center of each breast, trying not to pierce through the other side.
Open the breast, and sprinkle the inside with lemon zest. Layer a slice of cheese, then ham, then 3-4 asparagus spears (depending on the size of your chicken) on one side of each breast.
Fold the other side of your breast over the filling. Sprinkle the top of each with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and High Flyin’ Chicken Seasoning. Press to adhere seasoning.
Option to sear the chicken breast in oil for a golden crust (3-5 minutes on each side) before moving forward. If not, place chicken on a skillet or baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165℉.
Remove chicken from skillet. Add Honey Mustard and Heavy Whipping Cream and let simmer.
Allow chicken to rest for 10 minutes, pouring sauce on top. Serve and enjoy!
