Bacon wrapped brussels... on a stick! Grab & go - and then come back for more. This dish is perfect for a holiday side or appetizer, made even better with our Sweet Chili Sauce + smokey Rodeo Rub!
1 lb Brussels Sprouts, halved
10 slices Blues Hog Sizzle Bacon
Blues Hog Sweet Chili Sauce
Blues Hog Rodeo Rub
Wooden or metal skewers
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Wash sprouts thoroughly and pat dry.
Slice sprouts in half lengthwise and set aside.
Threading one end of a bacon strip onto the skewer. Add half of a Brussels sprout, flat side down. Fold the bacon over the top of the sprout and pierce it onto the skewer again to secure. Add another half sprout, flat side down. Repeat until the strip of bacon is used up, ending with the loose end of the bacon secured on the skewer.
Drizzle lightly with Sweet Chili and sprinkle generously with Rodeo Rub.
Place skewers on a wire rack with a lined baking sheet underneath (so bacon grease can drip below) and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway. Bake until desired crispiness is achieved.
Enjoy!
If you are having any issues getting the skewers through the brussels, you can give them a quick steam (about 5 minutes) to soften them up before assembling.
