Okay hear us out…A pumpkin spice pork burger! Approved by Tim and certified pumpkin spice aficionado, Brother D. Don’t knock it till you try it 🔥🎃

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Marble Ridge Farms Pork Burgers
  • 1 tbsp Blues Hog Original Dry Rub
  • 1 pack brioche buns
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (we used Marble Ridge Farms Beef Tallow, coming soon!)
  • 1 tsp Blues Hog High Flyin’ Chicken Seasoning
  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 1 can whipped cream (optional)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup arugula
  • Blues Hog Whiskey Blues BBQ Sauce
  • Blues Hog Hot Honey BBQ Sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. Generously season pork burger patties on both sides with Blues Hog Original Dry Rub Seasoning.
  2. Preheat your smoker to 250°F. Place the patties on the smoker grates and cook for approximately 45–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Use a meat thermometer to check the thickest part of each patty.
  3. While the burgers smoke, heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and season with Blues Hog High Flyin’ Chicken Seasoning. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and caramelized to your liking, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Toast the burger buns in a skillet until golden and lightly crisp.
  5. Remove the cooked burgers from the smoker.
  6. Spread a generous spoonful of pumpkin purée and the caramelized onions onto the bottom bun, followed by the pork burger.
  7. If desired, add a dollop of whipped cream and a light sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Top with a few sprigs of fresh arugula and drizzle with Blues Hog Whiskey Blues BBQ Sauce or Blues Hog Hot Honey for a little extra spice.
