Ingredients

  • 24 chicken wings
  • Blues Hog Beef Marinade
  • Water, for marinade mixture
  • Blues Hog Bold & Beefy Seasoning
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix, divided
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup grated Gruyère cheese

Directions

  1. Add chicken wings to a large container or gallon-sized bag. Pour in Blues Hog Beef Marinade and enough water to dilute according to the marinade's package directions. Mix well, seal, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Remove wings from the marinade and pat thoroughly dry with paper towels. Place in a large bowl and season generously with Blues Hog Bold & Beefy Seasoning. Add half of the French onion soup mix packet and toss until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Arrange the wings in a single layer, leaving space between each piece for proper airflow. Cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F. Larger wings may need a few extra minutes.
  4. While the wings cook, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced white onion and sauté for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and golden brown.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, 1 teaspoon of Blues Hog Bold & Beefy Seasoning, and the remaining French onion soup mix. Stir until well combined.
  6. Transfer the cooked wings to a serving plate. Top with freshly grated Gruyère cheese.
  7. Pair with the French onion dipping sauce and dig in!
